Welcome to AncestryX AI ("we," "our," or "us"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the AncestryX AI mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

When you create an account, we may collect your name and email address. You may sign in using Google, Apple, or anonymously. For Apple Sign-In, your name is collected only on your first sign-in. Anonymous sign-ins do not require any personal identifying information.

When you use our ancestry scan feature, you upload a photo of yourself. This image is processed to perform AI-based ancestry analysis. We may store a reference to your most recent scan image to display it within your profile.

We store the results of your ancestry analysis locally on your device, including ethnic breakdowns, cultural matches, facial trait insights, population insights, haplogroup estimates, and fun facts.

We may collect standard usage and diagnostic data through Firebase to help us improve app stability and performance. This includes device type, operating system version, crash reports, and general app usage patterns.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, operate, and improve the AncestryX AI app and its features
• Display your profile and ancestry analysis results within the App
• Process in-app purchase transactions
• Respond to support requests
• Maintain the security and integrity of the App

Your photos are used solely to perform AI-powered ancestry analysis. We do not sell, share, or use your photos for advertising or marketing purposes. Photos are processed by our AI system and may be stored temporarily to deliver your results.

Important: Ancestry and ethnicity estimates provided by AncestryX AI are for entertainment and informational purposes only. They are not scientific or medical assessments.

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:

• Service Providers: Third-party services that help us operate the App, including Firebase (Google) for authentication and database services, and Apple/Google for in-app purchases.
• Legal Requirements: If required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.

You may delete your account at any time from the Profile tab in the App. Upon account deletion, your account and all associated data are permanently removed and cannot be recovered.

The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

The App integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:

• Google Firebase (authentication, database)
• Google Sign-In
• Apple Sign-In
• Apple App Store / Google Play (subscriptions and purchases)

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
