Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using AncestryX AI (the "App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

AncestryX AI is an AI-powered mobile application that analyzes photos to provide entertainment-based insights about ancestry, ethnicity estimates, cultural matches, facial traits, and historical connections. All results are AI-generated estimates for entertainment and informational purposes only.

You may create an account using Google Sign-In, Apple Sign-In, email and password, or anonymously. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Anonymous accounts are supported but may have limited functionality. Data associated with anonymous accounts may be lost if you uninstall the app without upgrading to a full account. You may delete your account at any time from the Profile tab. Deletion is permanent and irreversible. All associated data will be removed.

AncestryX AI offers two one-time purchases that permanently unlock additional features:

• Ancestry Unlock — unlocks the main ancestry analysis feature.
• Additional Features — unlocks a separate set of bonus features within the App.

All purchases are one-time payments with no recurring charges. Pricing is displayed at the time of purchase within the App. Payments are processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are charged to your account upon confirmation. Previously purchased items can be restored at any time using the "Restore Purchases" option in the Profile tab. Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies.

You retain ownership of any photos you upload to the App. By uploading a photo, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process and analyze the image solely for the purpose of providing you with ancestry analysis results. You agree not to upload photos that depict minors, contain illegal content, or violate the rights of any third party.

AncestryX AI's ancestry, ethnicity, haplogroup, and cultural match results are AI-generated estimates based on visual analysis. They are:

• Not scientifically validated genetic tests
• Not medical or health assessments
• Intended for entertainment and informational purposes only
• Not guaranteed to be accurate

Results should not be used to make decisions regarding health, identity, legal matters, or genealogical records.

All content, features, and functionality of the App — including the name "AncestryX AI," design, software, and AI models — are owned by us and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the App.

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Upload photos of other individuals without their consent
• Attempt to circumvent subscription paywalls or in-app purchases
• Interfere with or disrupt the App's servers or infrastructure
• Use the App to harass, defame, or harm any person

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine, at our sole discretion, is harmful to the App, other users, or third parties.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AncestryX AI and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to reliance on ancestry analysis results.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in accordance with those laws.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
