We may collect information you provide, information created when you use the app, and information processed by third-party services that help operate the app.

When you scan or upload food photos, nutrition labels, or barcodes, the app may process images, barcode values, product lookup results, food names, ingredients, serving sizes, calories, protein, carbohydrates, fat, net carbs, nutrition estimates, manual food descriptions, saved foods, scan history, and meal-plan information.

Depending on the features you use, the app may process nutrition goals, macro targets, height, weight, age or birth year, gender selection, activity level, target weight, goal preferences, hydration entries, step counts, activity progress, ketosis-related inputs, and wellness estimates.

If you purchase or restore a subscription, we may process subscription status, entitlement status, product identifiers, purchase metadata, renewal status, app user identifiers, and related transaction information through Apple, Google, RevenueCat, or similar subscription services. We do not receive your full payment card number.

The app and third-party services may process device type, operating system, app version, language, region, device identifiers, anonymous authentication identifiers, advertising identifiers where permitted, crash logs, diagnostics, performance data, feature usage, error logs, IP address, and network information.

If you grant permission, the app may read step data from Apple Health, Health Connect, or similar platforms to show daily activity progress. If you log hydration and grant permission, the app may write water entries to supported health platforms. Health permissions are optional and can be revoked in your device settings.

We use information to provide food scanning, label scanning, barcode lookup, AI nutrition estimates, macro tracking, meal ideas, saved foods, scan history, hydration features, activity features, ketosis insights, subscriptions, Pro entitlements, ads, support, security, diagnostics, fraud prevention, app improvement, and legal compliance.

The app may send images, food descriptions, nutrition labels, food information, macro goals, or meal-plan prompts to AI services to generate nutrition estimates, food analysis, meal ideas, and related outputs. AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete and should not be treated as medical advice.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate the app, including Firebase and Google Cloud services, Google AI or Vertex AI through Firebase AI, Firebase Storage, RevenueCat, Apple App Store, Google Play, Google AdMob, Open Food Facts, Runware or similar image-generation services, Apple Health, Health Connect, hosting providers, diagnostics providers, security services, and operational vendors.

We may also share information if required by law, legal process, app store rules, fraud prevention, security needs, business transfers, or to protect our rights, users, or the public.

The free version of the app may show ads through Google AdMob or similar advertising partners. Advertising partners may process device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location, app activity, and related information to provide, measure, personalize, limit, or improve ads, depending on your device settings, consent choices, region, and applicable law.

Some app data may be stored locally on your device, including preferences, scan history, saved foods, hydration records, nutrition targets, and onboarding selections. Some food images or records may be stored in Firebase Storage or other cloud services when needed for app features.

Uninstalling the app or clearing app data may remove locally stored information, but it may not automatically delete information stored by third-party services, app stores, backups, or cloud systems.

The app may request camera access to scan food, barcodes, and nutrition labels; photo library access to select food or label images; health or activity access to read steps and write hydration entries; and internet access to provide AI analysis, barcode lookups, subscriptions, ads, storage, and support features. You can manage permissions in your device settings.

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the app, maintain records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and support business operations.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, or object to certain processing of personal information. You may also be able to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You can contact us for help with privacy requests or deletion of cloud-stored app data.

The app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the app, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

We and our service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. These countries may have different data protection laws.

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes become effective means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
